I am having a little bit harder time selling my 2 year old boat than I thought I would. It is a top quality "name brand" boat, motor, trailer and accessories.I am close to NADA listed value.I had quite a few e-mails and calls early and now it has tapered off.Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

This is just a guess based on what I saw at the boat shows. With interest rates so low a lot of the boat dealers were going the route of selling the monthly payment compared to the cost of the boat. If someone is financing anyways for a high end boat, they may figure "why not" and get the new one. Loan rates are better on new ones. You may have better luck as the weather breaks and more people are thinking about boating/fishing.
Good Luck,
Steve

If you had lots of interest, but nobody stepped up, your probably asking too much. You say 'close' to NADA. Is that close above, or close below?
If you tried to sell it for $10 it would be gone in a second. Somewhere between $10 and whatever you are asking for it is the price it will move for.
I bought a boat here in the classifieds, that I believe wasn't for sale for very long. And sold mine here in less than a month.
I hope it helps (not slamming you, just giving my opinion)

True True -
Flyboy right on - everything sells for what it's worth at the moment and NADA means notta.
Curious - you may get your price as the season moves along if you can sit on it. The "casual" interests haven't started yet.
I didnt have a high end boat but was asking 18K for mine - sold in less than a month on WC and three of the boats I called on (all very good deals) were sold B4 I called.
Hang on if you can but I know from personal experience there were several boats I never even called on because they were listed too high; these boats were not too expensive but they were just listed way too high compared to other boats in their class I had researched.
good luck

2002 YarCraft 1680BT Cobra,2002 Merc.60hp 4 stroke EFI,2002 2300lb MFI bunk trailer custom made for YarCraft.Wave Wackers,55lb Minkota Autopilot bow mount,Lowrance x-67c and Garmin 12 GPS @ stern,Lowrance x51 @ bow,3 seats,1-butt seat,4 Ram rod holders,cover,spare tire,spare prop,boat buckle tie-downs all in excellent condition. $10,000
I don't think this price is too out of line.NADA is about $9,100 boat, motor, trailer. This boat is standard with a 50 merc 2-stroke.I priced a brand new boat, motor and tralier(same as above) and was given a price of $14,800.

I had an uncle that had a car lot. His favorite saying was "There is an a** for every seat" Be patient. I sold mine to a guy that had seen it parked outside 4 months earlier. I got what I wanted, and so did he. We are both happy fishermen. Good Luck!

i just looked up your boat in the ABOS Marine Blue Book and came up with $8350, boat, motor, and trailer. not to mention that accessories are always a touchy subject. you've got good accessories on your boat and you need to convince a perspective buyer that he/she will save a lot of money buying yours instead of paying retail for brand new, even though yours really aren't worth a lot.
i think someone mentioned, you have to show the perceived value in order for someone to buy, blue books are only a guideline. good luck, they're nice boats.
