Does anyone know of any good security systems/alarms for boats? I just purchased an expensive rig and I will sometimes stay over at the lake. I will have a boat cover on it but was curious to see if anyone has a security system for their boat when they are parking it out of town (such as at a motel).
Appreciate any information!

A cover is a good start. I believe in keeping things out of sight for easy pickings. If a thief wants somthing you have they're gonna take it, no matter how good you lock it up. Most boat alarms that I've seen haven't worked out to well, as they get triggered by the wind blowing the tarp around. When in doubt lock your rod lockers, and take your electronics and loose tackle boxes and lock them in your vehicle.

Never used one, but I believe it is what you are looking for.

In my opinion the worst thing you can do is cover your boat in a hotel parking lot. Theifs can crawl under the cover steal everything and never be seen. It happened to a buddy of mine, he never knew anything was missing until he got home hundreds of miles later.
