topachata Hello. 13 pound walleye fish is great. I have this year is the largest of 10.5 kg (23.1). Was caught in the morning, in snags on heavy terrain. Zander attacked large silicone bait. But these fish are caught every day, of course. 1-2 for the season. Also in this season managed to catch a few Zander weighing more than 8 kg (17.6). All major perches caught on big silicone bait in areas with complex topography.

ricorth07 the picture collage / video is neat to watch... looks like they're using a lot a rubber worms (curley tails) and tail dancers. The backdrop of the city is beautiful while fishing the river.. so you guys mentioning a fishing trip before, ready to gather a group of Americans to go there? I'm in, looks like a fun group!

NDeyes Those are some awesome fish. And there is actually a lake here in North Dakota that they stocked with Zander quite a few years ago. It was stopped after the first or second year though due to the fact people didn't want fish from outside here being stocked. But they are believed to be reproducing naturally because they still catch a few out of the lake every where. This year I think a young kid caught one around the 13lb mark. Don't quote me on the size might be bigger or smaller ill try and find a link to the article. Once again awesome fish I've also seen pictures of the giant perch they catch in Europe. Makes devils lake look like baby perch.

topachata Fish is not large, only 5 kg
Composite foam rubber baits, lures made of polyurethane and bait type mandula. Later I will try to place the photo.
These baits we do with their hands and they are often more effective than bait-known manufacturers. Especially in the offseason.
And I Rapala Tail Dancer in priority.

grizzley Nice fish!
Happy new yr. also!!!

When you asked about composite bait, are you referring to baits such as Rapalas?
I use the Rapala Husky Jerks most of the time when fishing rivers.
Throw and little jerk, little jerk, etc. In cold water, you may have to work it very slow.
Looks like what you guys are using works just fine! They make a regular Rapala, size 18, that may work well. Would probably have to add some weight to it to get it to run deeper. Losing them though, could become expensive.
