|jas4412||if you are interested in a Griff, you should also look into the German Pudlepointer. I have english setters, but I am extremely impressed by the natural ability of the puddlepointer and way the are with kids.|

You might want to check out awpga.com American Wirehared Pointing Griffon Association. You will find a list of breaders throughout the country that you can contact for a litter. They also have a link to the National Rescue site. I am on two waiting lists for Griff puppies, one breader is $1250 the other is $1500.
I found a 1 year old at a shelter within an hours drive of our home. I can't explain how smart and how sweet this dog is. He is truely a blessing.
Another way to locate a Griff is to attend a Dog Show. Check out Onofrio.com and see if there is any shows in your area. Find out when the breed is showing and be there for the competition. You can talk to the owner/handelers and find out a lot about what you are looking for.
From talking to other owners at the Dog Shows I think they are a best kept secret. I hope you are lucky enough to find one for yourself. Ours is all smiles.

Griff Pups ?
I'm very interested in getting a Griff. How much can I expect to pay? Can you recommend breeders ? Has anyone looked into sheltered pups ? The dog will be used for hunting but mainly a family lover. I live in Arizona. Please help. Thank you.
