Good cause imho opinion

Just in case you haven't heard or missed it, a guy named Steve Fellegy is trying to make the playing field equal.

Maybe take a look and see if it interests you and maybe even send him a few bucks.

I have. All of us in Minnesota should.

AllenW 03-28-2012 08:22 AM

I think this probably will involve more than Minn if he wins the case.

I agree with the idea of all people being treated equally. When you look at the laws you see so many that include offsets for this group or that group, when we all bleed red when cut. NO PERSON should be judged on color and NO PERSON should be given any more or less based on race.

It is not about race, it is about being able to hold onto their land and rights prior to our arrival. Similar to how people feel now days, should an illegal alien given the same rights as citizens? Treaties are like the constitution. This thread will get nuked as does all fellegeny threads, just not a well supported idea outside of a few vocal people on this thread.

What "rights" are the indians who are currently on the lands giving to the indian tribes that they took the land from?

Nothing is ever about race when its going in your favor but as soon as something goes against you the it becomes about race. This post has nothing to do with race it has to do with equal treatment for all not equal treatment for one group. People need to look at others as equal in ALL aspects of life!! The Mods on here can delete anything they want but they are pretty good abour being fair about it, as long as you follow the rules. Why should one group differ from another when we all are Americans? If the season is closed to me why should you be able to fish, the season is closed so the fish can spawn and we all will have them in the future.

You cannot right old wrongs by creating new wrongs.. IMHO Steve F. is right on this issue.

Look up treaties and American history. They do not claim to be Americans and follow their own rules, why would they have to follow ours? We can open up our seasons perhaps easier than trying to tread on theirs.

If they're not Americans then why are they getting any government assistance for roads, school, utilities, natural resources, wefair, medicaide, etc? If they want to be a seperate nation then let's put a border around them and treat them like a foriegn nation.
