surround sound speaker suggestions ?

you guys that have surround sound for your tv, what speakers do you use ? I have a bose vcs-10 center speaker and a pair of bose 141's for the rear channel and a JBL 150 watt sub woofer, looking for a pair for the main front channel
what do you suggest ? I am thinking a pair of bose 201 V's ?
I have a pair of AR's with 12 inch woofer, 3 inch mid range and a 3 inch tweeter but they are big and over power the other speakers I have.

I would appreciate any suggestions as to what you guys are using and what works well. My livingroom is
14 ft x 23 ft

I use a pair of AM7 modules for the front rt-lt that were from an old system I had for another house.
My room is the same other than being 4 feet shorter.( 14 X 24 )
If you can find a couple you should try them to see what would work for you.
Sorry to say I don't have the rest of the system or I would let you use them for a trial.

Reb's do you want surround type speakers (small cubes) to match the other ones or do you want tower mains for the front. what are you looking to spend? You can spend 200 or 5000. I can probably offer some suggestions.

If you like to jam out and play it loud with alot of full sound and bass you probably want to stick with towers. I have a Klipsh system (i love it) all the way around but I would like to get a set of towers with a speaker selector to rock when I want to play it loud, the little ones are great for movies and tv but not big sound.

look at Definitive Tecnology rated as one of the best by many reports. Look at the pro Cinima 1000, I'll be picking up a set fronts back and center at the end of the month. They sound great and priced pretty well. The 1000"s $219 ec.

probably a bookshelf type speaker, I have been listening to bose 201V and 301V and have a hard time deciding. I have a bose vcs 10 center and bose 141 rears, with a JBL 150 watt subwoofer. I need a pair of fronts to match up with these

If you like the Bose go with them, I'd not expect good reviews for Bose on the HT/audio forums, they are not well liked for the most part.

fwiw I went with the JBL S-38 speakers and a SVS sub, big question in all this is, how much do you want to spend?

Generally you'll want the same speakers all around except for the sub.

This is kinda like asking the best lure for walleyes, there's some basics and after that, its personal opinion.
