i was using the Diachi 1/0 jig hooks because they were nice and strong. Never had a problem with them bending. Are these sickle hooks a heavier wire or are they fairly sturdy?

Frabill Pro-Formance with Power Lock is a great net. Make sure you know what type of hoop you want too. I personally like the scooper style hoop for walleye.

One thing i learned is that if you heat your jig to much before dipping, it will clog the eye. Figure out how long to heat it so the powder sticks but...

I had the same issue on my stratus boat. The ram mounts are to short to reach so i just use a short bungy cord and hook it to the rod holder. Make sure it's not so tight that it bends the shaft down.
