high speed ducer
You can intal a high speed ducer with the 899. The SI ducer is not good for high speed and I mount mine out of the water when running. This diagram shows the ducer and Y cable you'll need....

Taller boats
I should mention I think the 14-1/2" will work great for boats with a taller freeboard such as the Lund Tyee etc.

Great except...
The bases work great but are just a little too tall. They are working on reducing it 2", I'm awaiting a prototype. The existing units will work for a lot of boats I'm sure but for most of our walleye...
