Bad spot for sure. Re-mount the Cisco next to the Cup holder. You could also mount it to the floor but it will be in the way of your big feet or a cabinet door. Been mounting mine by the cup holder...

high speed ducer

You can intal a high speed ducer with the 899. The SI ducer is not good for high speed and I mount mine out of the water when running. This diagram shows the ducer and Y cable you'll need....

I've been testing a shorter re-designed prototypes this summer. The originals were just a tad too tall. The new ones are stellar so far and the owner is with manufacturing now finalizing production....

The bases work great but are just a little too tall. They are working on reducing it 2", I'm awaiting a prototype. The existing units will work for a lot of boats I'm sure but for most of our walleye...
