I have tried the swivels and knots. They would always get hung up on the guides. Then I switched over to a served connection like the saltwater guys. Very smooth.

I am thinking that I will probably have to replace the valve. I did a web search and it seems that the PosiTemp valves seem to have a problem with non-use.
