Heater / Seal?

Simple explanation from an old landlord who had to deal with multiple units: There is a heater in the freezer that warms the air to just above freezing at intervals. This melts the frost which them...

the packers

IMnsHO (in my not so humble opinion):
The packers didn't look so great against the vikings. Don't count any team out yet for the division. There are still nine games left before the playoffs....

I have bought and sold on eBay for many years. If there is an item you want, place the maximum you want to pay as your bid. Don't forget how the shipping charges will affect your total cost. eBay...

Slimmers?

Never heard the term slimmers before. We always called them snot-rockets. Try some large crank baits like magnum Rapalas or Mirrolure 111s or 113s. The larger sized Shadraps are also good. IMHO...

Caution

I believe woodpeckers are protected in most states. You may get into trouble if someone reports you for shooting them. I read somewhere that different species peck with a different cadence so they...

Never?

A slingshot, used with care, can be a good weapon to use against vermin like red squirrels and chipmunks. IMHO an explanation of the responsible use of the slingshot and other weapons would have been...

Wink Serial Killer

I line up Cheerios and mow them down with .22 shorts. I'd go with .22 shorts if they are accurate out of your gun. They have plenty of punch for chippies and don't carry as far.

Don't believe it!

I have a torn rotater cuff (right shoulder second time) and am undergoing physical therapy. I can't pull a regular bow but can't get a crossbow permit because they just upped the requirements for the...

I have a 22hp Deere #425 for mowing and blowing. I bought it used at an estate auction twelve years ago and it still runs like a charm. JD's can be expensive to repair but I found Kitz & Pfeil...

If you are an NRA member you do have coverage for your guns / hunting gear up to a certain amount ($5000?). Guns are not usually covered by a regular insurance policy without a special rider. For the...

Talking Popeil's Pocket Fisherman

I would stay away from the Little Mermaid pole, even when spray painted to fend off commentary by others. It really doesn't have the strength to stand up to larger pike and salmon. The Popeil's...

Pike Attack

Many years ago I had a stringer full of jumbo perch hanging over the side of the boat and a northern that I'm sure was over 42" hit a perch on the stringer. The perch was clipped on by the jaw and...

Muskie Reels

Most of the time I use a 5500C3 with 50 lb. Power Pro for pike. I generally do not throw double 10s or other very large baits. I also have a 6000. The 6000 makes an excellent reel for muskies using...

Don't like Zebcos

I prefer the Mitchell spinning reels (old or new). My favorites are the really old 300's & 308's that were made in France. They lasted forever.

Mossberg 500 12ga, pump 20" barrel (availability of ammunition / stopping power);

It sounds like you didn't tighten down the lids enough before you put them into the water bath. In the future fill the jars so the level of the contents is about 1/2 inch below the rim. Put the lids...
