RE: west sister 7-3

I just came back from fishing Ludington. A lot of rough days
and never want to be without the TR1. It also allows me to
leave the 350's shut down and run the Yam. HT 9.9HT all day
for very little...

RE: 9.9 4stroke starting probs-help needed

Ihave a '98 HT Yam. 4 stroke and it can be
cranky to start when cold. It has a fuel enrichment
circuit instead of an actual choke. The enrichment
circuit appears useless most of the time. If I...

RE: AUTO PILOT

I believe that the one touch throttle control to idle and then
resume feature has saved a number of fish for me while trolling
solo. It's sweet to crank that fish in the last few feet and then
go...

RE: AUTO PILOT

We've been able to get a lot more fishing in with the
TR1. The troops will gladly spend the day out fishing now.
They help me set all of the lines and then do whatever
until the fish start...

RE: 621 60K ouch!

If it doesn't have a cabin, head, microwave, firdge, and etc. they'll
never get that much out of me. It's good to see a company do well
though. I'm sure that the employees appreciate it! :)

RE: AUTO PILOT

I have to agree with the TR1. The price is higher than others but,
there's nothing to compare it to. There isn't another unit that
does what the TR1 does. I'm glad that I already have one. With...

RE: AUTO PILOT

I also run the TR1 to keep from running the gas sucking twin 350
Chevy engines. :) I can spend the entire day running my electronics,
stereo for the kids, fridge, and I'm good to go. I suspect that...

RE: 350 Mercruiser Ex. Manifolds

Thanks for the tip. I should be bringing it home in a couple of weeks. I'll hook up the shore power for heat and start working on it.
Thanks to all for the ideas.

RE: 350 Mercruiser Ex. Manifolds

Hmmm! That's a new on to me. I just don't know how to check this
with the boat out of the water. Would it show up with the muffs
on? I also don't want to repeat winterizing! :)

RE: 350 Mercruiser Ex. Manifolds

I'm not sure what you're referring to as the pump housing base.
I replaced the pump housing and inpeller. It came as a kit.
Is there another part? The dealer and a quite experienced friend
were...

350 Mercruiser Ex. Manifolds

Has anyone removed their exhaust manifolds on a 350 Merc.?
I'm suspecting mine are getting clogged. They are in an '87
Sea Ray Amberjack. Any tips before I dive in or just go for
it? I've replaced...

RE: Which new kicker would you buy?

Exactly T-Mac! I've amazed more than a few people with the
Yam. HT 9.9 on my Amberjack. They can't believe that the
little beast does the job. I've never run the Merc or T-8
but, do hear good...

RE: Auto Pilot

He may not have thought about another option. He did state it
was for trolling only. That would open up the use of the TR1.
It's not the lowest price option but, it's the best option for it's...

RE: New boat drive system

This isn't a "new" concept in drive systems. In reality, this concept
has been used on cruise ships and other large ships for years. It's
a proven setup. Obviously, none of them are trailered. It...

RE: Planer Boards

Most of the time I just fight the fish and let it come behind
the boat. When I set lines each board has a longer lead as you
go further out. The fish cross over the other lines and the board...

RE: Western Basin Reports

We used to go over to canuckville twice a year. Haven't been for
years now. If you fish over there and don't land, do you have to
report in? I haven't looked into the regulations heavy since...

RE: kicker steering options

The absolute best setup is a TR1 Gold with the throttle control.
I had one on a 21' aluminum Smokercraft with a Yam. 4S HT 9.9 and I
have another one installed on my current 27' Sea Ray Amberjack...

I still don't get what the complaint was, I thought that we're
supposed to give out information on products we use and like.
