RE: Lights for Mr. Walleye, Church Boards

I just use some of the small size light sticks that they sell for slip bobbers, but find them cheaper as a novelty at gas stations. All I do is tape them to the board with electrical tape and I've...

RE: Star Tribune ANTI-Fishing-Please tell them what you think!

Star Tribune didn't write the article. The New York Times did. The Star Tribune only reprinted it.

RE: Water repellent for soft tackle bags??

I spray mine with the same thing I use for my tent. Works well, but if it's a real soaker, the zippers will leak.

RE: How strict in the BWCA?

Your outfitter is right. Ranger visits in the BWCA are not real common, but if you have your whole 13-person group together in a campsite and one stops by, I can almost guarantee they will be rather...

RE: Editorial: Winning in Iraq / It's not an option; it's a must

Amen. I wasn't gung ho about this war going into it. But now that it's started it must be finished.

RE: Flying Deer!

Nice work by a relative newbie to flying deer. Most of the worst car-deer accidents are actually caused by people slamming on the brakes and swerving to try to avoid the deer.

RE: Lunkers Love Nitecrawlers

I found this book in a clearance of used books. Bought it for 10 cents about a year ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I may have to go back and read it again.

RE: Cooking fish on a George Foreman Grill?

The only fish I've ever done on the Foreman is salmon. It works great. With the adjustable heat, I set it between minimum and medium and cook for something like 9 minutes. Will still go back to...

RE: Poacher gets boat back

I believe the guy paid something like $10,000 to get the boat back. IMHO, seems like he got what was coming to him. I've heard he's also been seen this fall out in the same boat on the same body of...

RE: "RCL" = Red Clown Rapalas--where?

They were my favorite. I have since switched to the same color of Rogues and have been happy with them.

RE: trolling motor for lund 1775

I think you're basically deciding between a cable-driven motor (Maxxum) and an electric steering motor.
I've owned both and still can't decide which one I like better.

I much prefer the cable...

RE: Polarized Sunglasses?

I own a set of the H3Os. I really like the interchangable lenses. I also have trouble finding sunglasses large enough to fit me, and the H3Os work. However, I've found them to be less than durable,...

RE: weight center jigs

Slo-Poke jigs are one type that work well for what you are talking about. I'm sure there are many more. Slo-Pokes are made by baitrigs tackle, and I believe their website is baitrigs.com

RE: Using Rattle Traps

I've wondered the same thing. Have had real good luck for them on just the types of situations you described - wing dams and rip-rapped shoreline. But haven't used them successfully in any other...

Another great game. Any way we can talk the NHL into making this a best-of-13-game series?

RE: A tribute to Bob Sr.

I met Bob last summer at a fish cleaning station in Pierre. What a treat. That guy sure is an original! He was very open with some fishing tips and pointed out a few hotspots. Good guy.

RE: Outfished

There's no shame in being 4th out of 4. Every group needs a "net boy." Been there, done that. Maybe I should change my handle to NetBoy.

It sounds like you get as many bites as the others,...

RE: How many times have you rearranged you tackle box so far?

Well, so far I've gone through and totally rearranged the tackle boxes twice so far this winter. I sharpen hooks as I do it, so it takes some considerable time to get through the boxes.
Have bought...
