I have a 175 e-tec on my 1850. I love it. But I don't think I got much out my extra $2k spent. I would go for the 150 unless you can get the 175 for $500 or less...which I don't think is possible....

You have the right prop. No question. Ranger finally got smart and prop them properly. I run a 4 blade 17 pitch on mine with a 175 etec. I tested 19, 18, 17 pitch. 17 was the one. Love the prop.
