Saw these on Facebook and they look really cool. Bay Rat Lures made in Erie, Pa. From what I found out there making 4 different baits to start. 3 inch shallows and deeps and 4 3/4 shallows and deeps....

you would be better off just adding a 2 oz weight...

you would be better off just adding a 2 oz weight instead of the leadcore. that will get you to 40 no problem. each oz gets you roughly 4-5 feet per oz.
