My rule of thumb is 10ft = 1oz, 15ft = 1.5 oz, 20 ft = 2oz. There are some variations for wind, etc...May go 1oz in 20 ft if no wind and I am going slow

If you are vertical jigging the 5'9" would be best. Especially if you are using heavier jigs or darter jigs like puppet minnows or jigging raps. The 6'9" would be my second choice for lighter jigs....

I was able to use one of the new Scheels One...
I was able to use one of the new Scheels One Premium rods. They are spendy but WOW.
The 7'2" rod is specifically built for rigging. Super light and built as you would want. Soft tip yet some back...
