Quit messing around. If you are going to be serious (going every chance you get) go up the price point line until you can't tell a difference. Get a very good reel to go with a very good rod.

I was starting the 6th year a set of 4 Maxxis when one "blew". Trailer was sitting empty in the driveway.
Now have Kumho 857. Ordered from Tire Rack. Like the higher weight and speed rating.

6th season
My dual axle with Maxxis was parked in the shade without the boat this winter in Florida. Temp was in the low 70's. One tire tread blew. Peeled the tread back about 12". Replaced all with Kumho.
