Fuel usage in a 4.3 vs a 150 outboard
Well buying a new boat didn't go as planned, so I'm going to buy something that will fit my buget better for now.
We have narrowed it down to a crestliner phantom.

I/o vs OB for fuel GPH
I have done research on I/O vs OB and find many diffrent opionions.
If I buy a crestliner boat/ 18 ft, 4.3 I/O -vs- a crestliner 18ft OB 150 optimax,
which one will get the best fuel economy ?

I would call Taylor made glass. I'm sure they have what you need. I got the same run around with trying to find a frame and glass for my 1999 fisher boat. It was very expensive thou.. Good luck

Your oil res. when empty will make only one constant long beep. It has to be very low for this to happen.
If your outboard is mechanically at fault you will know it right away, from the way it is...

Thanks for the Input, but the key word was "inboard". I've had outboards for 12 years, so I know that drill. One reason why they are a little more convienent.
Still looking for a few more opionions...

I just sold my boat and have always had the typical alum. With an outboard. This summer as my kids are getting older I notice that we do alot more skiing now. I'm still a diehard walleye...
