RE: Lower unit plugs/screws

I do what MarkG does, right size screwdriver with square shaft that you can put a wrench on to help loosen them up, never had a problem getting them off.

RE: Buy a 1-bank charger or upgrade current to a 3-bank?

In response to your original question, over the years I've had enough onboard chargers that have had one of the banks fail to figure that it's inevitable, and this is with the brands that everyone...

RE: FOUR STROKE OR OPTIMAX

My mechanic thinks the Optimax is a great motor in the 135hp and up, but didn't care for the 3 cylinder smaller motors. In the 115hp he recommended the 4-stroke.

I've used that Plano case for a few years now, it holds my sonar and gps, works great and it's only about $16.

RE: Kicker to main gas line

At minimum be sure to have a check valve (primer bulb) in each line running to each motor. The danger with this setup is if a check valve were to fail the running motor could suck air from the other...

RE: Repair for a Pinpoint 7520

My Pinpoint TR320 manual says to contact Northstar Technologies for service at (978) 897-6600, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday. I would assume they would work on 7520's also.

RE: Shocks for a 3/4T pick up with camper?

The Rancho RS9000X's are nice as you can adjust them to your load, and they're very easy to adjust. Here's a great price on them but I think the sale ends 4/30:

RE: Reserve capacity on deep cycle battery?

The highest I've found is the Trojan SCS225 at 225 RC, I've been using these for years. The Exide Stowaways are good batteries, the group 31 is rated at 205 RC.

RE: Info. / opinions on truck bed campers?

With a half ton you'll probably need an add-a-leaf kit or air bags to prevent the rear end from sagging, and you'll be limited to the lightest campers as the half ton pickups don't have much payload...

RE: Info. / opinions on truck bed campers?

I'm on my third truck camper and I think they're the perfect match for towing a boat. It's easier to get in and out of places (gas stations, back country, etc.) than other RVs and when you unload the...
