I owned a boat with a 19* deadrise. The ride was great but in our windy country, the side-roll when drifting was extreme. You had a hard time sitting in the bow seat (which was mounted higher) when it got rough and you were drifting. Glass boats can have a steeper entry and round off the deadrise near the transom because they can shape the hull any way they want. that isn't possible with the traditional aluminum boat that has to carry the deadrise angle throughout the legnth of the hull.
