I use 3 ways alot on the river many times there are way to many boats around to let out lead core or long line. When running tight structure I can up my lead keep my lines more verticile and hold the contour better. For very short trolling runs in deep water 3 ways are the ticket for me. On the river I am running lightest 3 ounces up to 8 ounces.
