Default RE: Fisher FX DV 18

This is my first season with a FX18DV. I have a 150 EFI and the performance is good. 52.8 mi/hr GPS with 2 aboard.
The FX18DV is made at the Pro Craft plant, so it is not manufactured by the same plant that makes the aluminum boats. Warranty issues are also handled by ProCraft ,not those handling the aluminum line.
ProCraft is owned by Tracker also.
Overall it is a good boat, with many features you would enjoy. The rod storage is great, separate tank for the licker, and nice high splash well for you never take on water from following seas.
The livewells final finish (on the inside uppermost lip ) is a drawback---and they tend to allow water to slosh over the opening and on to the floor in rough water.
The hull is fast, but tends to be sensitive to motor mounting height. One hole up from the lowest position has worked best for me. At the third (middle) hole, porposing was more pronounced in choppy water.
The more I use the boat, the more I like it......
