I've had three painted trailers and currently own a galvanized trailer. In the six years I've owned this trailer it looks the same as the day I bought it. I can't say that about any of my previously painted trailers. In my opinion the only down sides is they cost more as I'm ok with them looking butt F ugly. LOL!
