I had a Ruger 77RL in .308 that didn't shoot at all, no matter what---gone!
I have other .308 cal. weapons that are very accurate W/either 165 or 168 gr. ammo.
Two things to think about also, bad scope and bedding screws.
1.5" left, them 5" right is a huge spread, do the cleaning and go from there, I would suspect a bad scope that won't hold zero, but could be other things also.
