I grew up in Superior and the fishing on the river is excellent. Not aware of any resorts, but there are several motels in Superior right by the bay where you can launch if you have your own boat. Otherwise, there are guides in the area I am sure who will take you out, and you can still stay at the motels. Book early, believe it or not, Superior is busy in the summer.
