yes, we ride but not as much as we used to.Only about 6-9 K a yr.
Almost thinking about selling them as we just don't get out much because of all the people moving into our state.
I used to build customs back in the late 70 early 80s what can I help you with. Pm me with your question ,I might be able to help you. If not try Jp Cycle fourms. They are into catolog bikes that anybody can build but there are still a few guy's that know there stuff on the forum.good luck. DHotRod

I hear ya. I have a Honda VTX1800. I ride with a bunch of Harley owners. Everytime we have a ride planned, two or three of them can't make it because "she just won't start". I paid about a third for mine as what they did (it was a last years leftover).

I don't hear ya, Because I'm smarter then the bike. I look at it like this.....Thank God they make Honda's for guy's like your selfs.
Don't push your jap bike on me because you wished you had the $ and the smarts to own a real scooter.

Remeber the man was asking for any Harley Riders..... So don't start your Honda up.
To me it doesn't matter what you ride as long as YOU are happy. So keep the rubber side down and have a good day.

For one, I have more than enough financial resources to buy any bike I want, and as many of them that I would like. I was actually all set to buy a Harley, but when I started comparing the specs and builds of the two bikes, I came to the realization that with a Harley, all I was paying for was the name.

And it's funny you call my bike a Jap bike. Honda is actually allowed to call their bikes that are made in the Marysville, Ohio plant American Made (mine is, along with GoldWings and a few other models). Harley Davidson is no longer allowed, by law, to claim that they are American Made because more than 45% of their build and parts origin are not American. As a matter of fact, they have Mikuni carbs on them. Mikuni is owned by Honda. They also have Showa shocks on them. Again, Showa is owned by Honda.

How does your foot taste now?

Actually Hardly you started it, he never said anything about not being able to ride because a bike wouldn't run, you did. Glad you are wealthy, we're all happy for you.

I rode a Super-Glide customized. I enjoyed it but sold it recently since I have too many other fun things to do.
Sorry I can't help you with a website but have you checked into HOG
(Harley Owners Group). Our local chapter is active and they have a website; maybe there is a HOG group in your area. It's more fun when you have others to ride with.

Why would you come to a thread that a guy asked for a website for Harley owners and bash Harleys and tell us how great your Honda is ?

The "forks" are Showa, and there are "some" other parts that are not American made, such as electronic chips . That being said, you're either misinformed or misrepresented the percentage of non US parts . Harley proudly advertises that their bikes are Aremican made, so please stop the b.s. .

Harley-Davidson was producing motorcycles 60 years before Honda . I, and many others feel a connection to our past, and ride Harleys to feel that connection and to enjoy the freedom of riding an American made motorcycle down American highways .

As an old Harley saying goes, "If I have to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand" . I'm not going to try and convince you that you should own a Harley, so please don't try to convince us that we're wrong for riding them .

To the OP, I to have built custom Harleys and would be happy to answer any questions if I'm able . Feel free to PM me as well .
