Hey all of you WC fanatics. Please let me know what Touring Pros you would like to see in the Walleye Central chatroom and I will do my best to bring them onboard for the 2004 season.

Dave, There is nobody, and I stress nobody, that can give a better understanding of Lowrance electronics than "Doc." Bruce Sampson. Maybe one of the lab guys (from Lowrance) but presenting this info to us lowly fisherman in a format that we can understand is another story. He is not one to demise any of the other manufactures out there but can speak indepth or general about Lowrance electronics and give your participants a higher level of knowledge. If you could lasso him for a night on the chat site it would be full..IMO... This would include a lot of the "Pro's" that could gain info.If anyone thinks they know their /X85/X15/X19/104 etc. get ready , this guy can open a whole new realm of functions and options...And marry them to the newest Hotspots and LakeMaster mapping capabilities. My Vote.. And no we are not dating.... |

Most excellent. The chat room is a great place to meet these guys and pick their brains. Scott Fairbairn and Sam Anderson are two excellent anglers and both are very well spoken and professional. I look forward to having them visit the Walleye Central faithful.
I'll drop a note to Doc today. Dave Landahl Operations Manager Walleye Central |

Dave..although I dont show up for the live event I go back thru and read them all (if you post them!) Adding Scott Fairburn was a great one, I sat in on a presentation he did several years ago in Cleveland and was impressed.
One name that tops my list of those not there would be Pete Harsh. I had the chance to meet and talk some with Pete at Dunkirk last year. I would love to spend an evening (or week!) picking his brain on walleye fishing. |

Gilly-
I will contact Pete. And just so you know, the chat archives are my responsibility now. So I am the guy to blame if something doesnt show up there, etc. ;) |

All those guys would be great. Also, I would add some of the "newer" guys who are doing pretty well. Groony and Jack Neuman come to mind. I think getting a perspective from people only a few years in on how they approach tournaments on bodies of water they may have never fished, on trying to get sponsors, getting involved with a "team" if they choose, etc., would provide some valuable insight to those who may be considering taking the plunge. I know Groony was on last October and it was a pretty lively and informative chat. I by no means am intending to exclude those listed or any other pro's, just my input. Plus, knowing them personally and after having had the opportunity to pre-fish with Jack on numerous occasions (I think the last 2 RCL Championships, and Pierre and Spring Valley last year), I know for myself I have learned a ton.
