ABU TROLL Problems

Just got one of these from Sportsmans Ware. Actually this is the second one, had to exchange the first one(defective). Everything works fine on this one except the lineout alarm. The systems check shows the alarm does beep, however after presetting(paragraph 5 on the instructions) it does nothing. I tried several distances of less than 25ft. Nothing. I called angler services at ABU hq, and she said a minimum setting of 2 ft, so thats not problem. Also the backlight stays on for 4 seconds and then shuts off, she said "it should stay lit longer than that." So, I guess I have to take this one back for an exchange. Anybody else with the same problems?

I found that mine needed to have at least 20ft. of line out for the alarm to work. Not a big deal since I waould always let out more than that anyway.
