Default hummingbird 595c

I've been researching colar sonar/gps units and looking at the hummingbird 595C unit for the bow. I currently have a Lowrance unit on the console and have not had any trouble but all these "bad experiences" I'm reading about are causing me to further research. I don't care about linking these up obvsiouly. Any opinions on the hummingbird unit.

Thanks1

After a trip to the outdoor store in town, I think I would go with the Hummingbird 787c. Any opinions on that unit? Can the transducer be put on the bottom of the trolling motor by the prop with the trolling motor bracket that holds the transducer puck to the bottom of trolling motor. I had my current transducer held in place by that on my trolling motor and it should work for any puck but not familar with hummingbird.

Yup. That's how I have mine rigged up front. Works great!

I think I would go with the 777c and get a different GPS make. I have heard from some post that people really like the sonar part of the 787 but say the Gps is off target? Just what I have read? I`d stay away from Lowrance sonars for now my X510c was junk the Globalmap 5200 I bought with it seems to work good though for now. I`ve since replaced the 510c with a Vexilar unit.
Humminbird has a transducer made for the trolling motor I believe a puck style one. You may have to purcase this separatly. On Humminbirds web site you can swap out tranducers with them. I`m not sure if the transome transducer can be clamped to the trolling motor or not? Johnson Outdoors, the parent company of Minnkota also owns Humminbird.
