"How about checking out a 2010 explorer with a 200?
Should fit your price range. That's what I am running now...and I love it." Terry, what motor are you running on your 2010 and what prop? Is the trolling motor compartment big enough for 3 Optima batteries plus an 3-bank charger? Thanks |

I put the 200 Verado (L-4) on mine.
Great mileage. Top speed is "ok" --Mid-to- high 40's. I have 21 Tempest prop. on mine.. But a 19 Tempest is probably best. I did hit 50 before I put all of my "stuff" in it. ![]() But you can save pretty good $$$ by going with a 200 Opti. Last edited by T Mac; 05-12-2009 at 10:58 AM. |

I'd also like to know if the trolling motor compartment is big enough for 3 batteries and a charger.

I use an 80# Terrova bowmount. So.. I only need two for that But I have power steering capability on my kicker. So I have a battery for the Verado and one for the kicker. All my boat accessories are tied to the kicker battery (a group 29 deep cycle). I put the kicker battery in that compartment in the floor ....near the rear. I have three bank charger and a single bank charger. The single is hooked to the kicker battery... but I almost never have to use it because the Verado has great charging output and there's an isolater in the system (charges my kicker battery when Verado is running). |
