Default Advice on Erie ?

Going on vacation 1st. week of Sept. I promised the wife I would take her to Cedar Point, then on up to Niagra Falls. Heres the problem, she asked if we could leave the Lund in the shop, from some reason I agreed ? So I've been thinking, since we're going be driving along Erie from west to east, I surely could find time to charter a half day of walleye fishing somewhere along the way. I know there are thousands of charters along the way, but with only a half day, I'd like to have the best chance to catch our limits .Any suggestions on the best area to look for a charter ? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. P.S. Sorry if posted in wrong forum.

There are some great charter captains right here on WC that could probably help you with a half day. You would need to be closer to your vacation time to get some good info on where the eyes are at that time, then you would know what harbor you want to go out of.
