I use some Simply Green from time to time as it's biodegradable. Mine is gonna be rank when I go pick up the boat this weekend as I didn't have time to clean it out last weekend

Cheers,
Rangerfisher

I fill mine, add a cup of bleach and stir it up. Leave it sit a while, and then a good rinse. Been doing it this way for years, and never had a problem.

Bleach/water mix in a spray bottle or simple green. I don't rinse I just leave it. My livewell fills up with a little bit of water at the bottom when I launch the boat so it dilutes before fish end up in it. I do enjoy the smell of simple green over the bleach.

Thanks for all the replies, I think I will try the simple green because I do not know the effects of bleach on hoses, fittings and the live well itself. Simple green should smell better than bleach
