Default Anyone Own a 2001 1675 Explorer SS

Looking at a Lund 1675 explorer SS and wondered if anyone owned one or had owned one. Thoughts on the boat for fishing smaller lakes, what size motor max on this boat and minimum size one should have on the boat. Specifications on the boat. Any info appreciated.

looking at a few online ads, it appears to be 16' 8" long, with a 90" beam. One ad shows the rating plate, which indicates 90hp max (SS, side console). The boat in the ad had a F80 Yamaha on it, with a hydrofoil on it, so the 80 might have needed some help to get the boat on plane.
Do you happen to be looking at the one with damage and no motor?

Thank you for the specs on the boat--I really appreciate it. Anyone own one of these? Opinions on the boat?

I own a 2002 1675 Explorer SS with a 90 Honda and a Yamaha T8 kicker. I have a hydrofoil on it because when I took the wife and 2 kids fishing or pulled them on a tube I could not get it on plane or it took forever. With me and the wife I could probably remove it but it comes up on plane instantly and I like the it handles. I have also recently upgraded to a 24 volt trolling motor so I have another battery in it. It runs 37-38mph on GPS with the wife and I, fully loaded, full tank of gas and both livewells full. It has been a great boat, if I ever upgrade it will be to a 20 ft. Explorer.

I owned a 2000, 17 footer, had a 50HP four stroke. Could run 27MPH at best, could troll down to ~1MPH boat was great for fishing out of, never did anything else. With four aboard just meant a little longer to get to the spot - how often can you run wide open anyway. Only addition was a bow mount, 55Lb's of thrust at 12Volts.

Only traded up to get a higher sided, slightly larger boat - otherwise was a great (and still is) fishing boat

Default I also own the same boat as above

I own a 2000, 17 foot 6 inch Exploerer, have a 50HP four stroke Honda. I run 34MPH. This boat is great in rough water and for fishing out of. I put a small hydrofoil on it like the ones rated for 50 and below and with four aboard it pops out of the water and runs in the high 20s and gets 8.5MPG. I love the boat and the motor.I also have a bow mount, 55Lb's of thrust at 12Volts and it does fine in winds up to 20mph. Above that its time to load on the trailer anyways. I love my LUND!!!

I have a 2001 1675 Explorer with a 75HP Evinrude Ficht and it runs like a champ. I get up on plane easily even fully loaded with people and cargo. I can pull a 2 person tube or a wakeboard. I know the Fichts have a bad name, but the 75 and 90's are solid unlike the larger motors.

I own a 2002 Lund Explorer 1675, it came with a 50 HP four stroke, it is right now at the marina gettting a 90 HP motor installed. It was a long search but I finally found a used 90 HP for an upgrade. The 50 HP was a little underpowered with three guys in the boat, it had a little trouble getting out of the hole, and I was looking for a little different performance. Other than that I love the boat, I fish small lakes in Northern Wisconsin to Lac Suel in the summer, so far the boat has performed very well. If you have any specific questions pm me and hopefully I can help you out.

I also put a 80lb Terrova trolling motor, I love the power and response the trolling motor supplies on that boat.
