Default Please help my opti

So i have had this never ending overheat struggle with my 150 opti.
I replaced my impeller (full kit) before Rainy river this april. Still overheats at idle. So i just replaced poppet valve kit, thermostats, and the heat sensors. I hooked up my hose to the flush out port and water came streaming out of the tell tale like normal. So i hooked up the muffs and i get a stream after about 30 seconds, but then verry steady. Then off to the lake i went. Started the motor up in the water and could not get a stream. My block pressure with the muffs on is 1.0 at idle and only 0.1 or 0.2 while in the lake
Any ideas would be greatly appreaciated, opener is only 3 days out and im getting scared.

this is just a wild guess, but since you are getting flow with water pressure from the garden hose/muffs, but not from the motor itself, I'd pull the lower unit back off and see if you forgot to install the key that locks the impeller to the driveshaft.

I just pulled the lower unit and pump housing and found my impeller tore on two fins 3/4 the way down and the top of the housing melted. Im pretty sure i installed it correctly becouse i have put about 15 hrs on this impeller. Can they go bad that quick?

It only takes a few seconds if they are run without water in them. The melted housing indicates that.

you also indicated a while back that you started the engine only 20 minutes or so after laying the silicone bead, that keeps the exhaust gases out of the pump housing. Sounds like it's time for a new full kit.

I hooked up my hose to the flush out port and water came streaming out of the tell tale like normal. You didn't run the motor while on the flush port did you? You shouldn't run the motor that way as the impeller doesn't get water.

Warhorse

When you say you replaced the impeller you said full kit. What came with the kit?
