Same here in the States. Make your offer and salesman counters then you offer again or you can do some research online and get the sticker price, dealer invoice and dealer cost. If you know the 3 prices upfront along with the hold back the dealer gets you can get a better price. If you need me to look a truck up for you you can PM me.

If you are looking at a 2011 (or used) then go to blackbook.com and you can see what a dealer is paying for used vech.

My tournament partner has a new last fall 2500 crew cab dura max. The new urea motors are terrible for fuel economy. I was really surprised to see 12mpg pulling down the high way! Great truck other than that.

Gee wonder why I can get 18-20 MPG empty with my 2011. For what its worth, the new engines with urea, are actually better on mileage than the previous years.

the best duramax for fuel economy was the 2001-2002, the first years, they didnt have variable vein turbos and flowed alot better with less restriction. I run a 2001 duramax with 290,000 miles on it and it gets 20 mpg, and I have 35's and a 6 inch lift. chipped and exhaust of course with an air intake, shes a runner. Injectors replaced at 140,000 under warranty, thats the only problem so far. My dads truck is an 09 Duramax and the thing is awesome, other then tranny lines dripping from factory, but I will say my brother had an 05 duramax that was garbage from the start, inectors a few times, head gasket, tranny problems, wiring problems, but it still got 20mpg empty, he traded it for a 2012 Duramax.

Well...that would be because yours is empty. He said they were pulling.

I get 18mpg with a gas F-150 so I sure hope you're getting that with your diesel.
