Default Ranger fender repair/replacement

I blew the tread off my 1850 trailer tire on the way back from opener. The trailer fender suffered some damage and needs to be replaced. I'll have to order a replacement fender from Ranger from what I gather after doing a little research. Anyone ever replaced one and how difficult is it?? I did some digging last night and tried to look at how it is removed. The bolts that hold it on the trailer would just spin when turning them. I removed the rubber mat and found the problem. The fender fiberglass is shattered/softened from the blowout and the top of the bolt is a flat circle that cannot be secured to hold while the nut is turned. This would be much easier to show someone than explane.

maybe you can get at it with a disc grinder and grind the head of the bolt off?

hard to say without pics

I had the same issue. Drill a 1/8" hole through the top of the flat carriage bolt near the OD, and through the fiber glass beneath it. Remove the drill bit from the drill and place it shank first into the hole you drilled. That will keep the bolt from turning when you remove the nut. The carriage bolt is very hard. Take your time.

Thanks for the ideas Guys!!! I already contacted Insurance and Frankies. The main problem is it takes 4-6 weeks to get a new fender from Ranger. I need to get the bolt out so I can make the trailer usable for the next few weeks. Without going into the details I have a temporary fix solution in mind.
