LEWT "Erie Outfitters" Huron Event

2012 LEWT Finale

The Crown Battery, Sharpnack Chevrolet, Buick and Pontiac Lake Erie Walleye Trail (LEWT) will hold their Championship event on June 23rd and 24th. Saturday will be held at Sandusky city ramp and Sunday will be held at Huron city ramp.. The teams can expect good weather and good fishing wherever they choose to fish. There are still a few spots available if someone wants to fish.

In addition to the first place tournament payout the Medina Plating Early Bird Award of $150 will go to the highest finishing Early Bird team at the tournament. Sharpnack Chevrolet-Buick will also be awarding $150 to the top finishing team that owns a vehicle from them. Another $1000 split three ways will be given to the top 3 finishers in the tournament.

In the race for the Team of the Year the Father and Son team of Gary and Nichlas Zart hold the lead with 382 points. Charlie Robinson and Todd Rainigh are in second with 380 points. Dennis Kitchen and Kevin Kirschner are sitting in third with 376.

“It will be exciting to see how many people find big fish, with the warm weather the fish continue to move east. He continued “The public is invited to join us at the Sandusky Boat Ramp on Saturday and Sunday at Huron at 3 PM for the weigh in.”

The WBSA is a Social based Club for fishermen and women that fish in the Western & Central Basin of Lake Erie and its tributaries. Membership is open to all fisher people no matter what their location. Our goal is to present information in a manner that will help sustain and improve fishing in one of the greatest inland sport fisheries in the world. Scientific information, fishing techniques, locations and presentations are presented at our meetings by expert and knowledgeable speakers and tournament anglers in our group. These anglers are very open with techniques and methods and will help any member that is trying to learn new methods.
