Default what's wrong with these?

Got some eyes today, one 15" was skin n bones and shaped like a banana. Other big one was unusually skinny. Tossed a few more back that were healthy but just barely legal. Any ideas on the banana eye?

Looks like the eyes have been removed and probably used for bait to guess at it. The first picture they are both a little on the small side. Here in Michigan they have to be min 15 inches to keep them.

Looks to me like they have their eyes... I think them having no eyes would def account for them being skinny haha. But maybe they just arent the fastest or smartest fish in the group.

I have used perch eyes for bait many times (mainly ice fishing) but never used a walleye eye before...

They just look like 15" males to me. Let'em grow.

Are you from north of the border? Kind of looks like a male that has exhausted himself during the spawn season.

The smaller fish are too small to see well in the photo, they look fine at first glance.

In the first picture- The top one looks like it may be deformed... but as far as being "skinny"... those two look pretty typical for their length.

Default injury, disease, nutrition

Being in the health field for 40 yrs, my training leads me to a simple conclusion based on the limited facts and pics presented. Fish was injured sometime causing deformity. Or, fish had or has a disease. Nutrition is probably not a factor if you caught plenty of healthy fish.
I don't think I would put a sick looking fish back in the lake.

Yeah we tossed em all back didn't wanna clean em. The limit for this lake is only 15" because the growth is stunted. To many bass in the lake not enough bait. And yes the bigger one may have been exhausted from spawning but they spawned well over a month ago the lakes already 80 degrees. Musta just been a bad day
