Had a productive 2 days of fishing last week here in the central basin of Lake Erie. Fished Thursday afternoon (July 5th) and Friday morning (July 6th) out of Presque Isle [PA waters].
Ran staight out off the point and found fish everywhere scattered from 50-80 feet. We did the best slightly west of the Point in 75-80 feet.
We pulled 6 fish on Thursday, and managed to put 20 in the boat on Friday. Our big producers were Reef Runner 800's on one side of the boards, and Deep Thundersticks on the other side of the boards. Each with 3oz of weight, 50 ft to bait, and then back another 150 ft for a total lead of 200ft.
Big Dipsey's on 3 setting back 150 & 175 pulled a couple fish with harnesses.
Here is a pic of Fridays haul and one of the better fish we caught that day. Nice mix of fish--biggest was close to 30", most 22"-27", and a few 16"-20" inchers too.
