Default Pymatuning H.P. limit meeting

DCNR Held a meeting on the H.P. limit on Pymatuning lake. 95% of the people there said they wanted to keep the 10H.P. LIMIT the lake assoc.with your help voted to retain the H.P. limit.Hopefully this will have a positive impact on the lake. These results will be turned over to the rules commitee they in turn will rule on this issue.Iwould like to thank all of you that responded to this issue Ihope we can keep this lake the best fishing lake in Ohio LCL

Good job Lenny, glad to hear the limit stands.
I was wondering if I could still go out fishing
with you sometime? WOODMAN.

I've always wondered about this. What would be wrong with unlimited HP and have a 10 mph speed limit. They do this on clear fork and it works nicely. You don't have to buy two rigs, the speed stays down (keeping jet skis off). Besides that, with a ten horse on an 8 ft. hydroplane, I raised a lot of heck when I was a kid.

I guess my question is, why not a no wake or low speed limit? Just curious.

Don Your question was asked at the meeting.DCNR said they would need to many people to enforce it with the lake having 70 miles of shoreline LCL.

THIS REMINDS ME OF POLOTICS I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY COMMON SENSE RULES NEVER APPLY. WHY NOT JUST
HAVE A LOW SPEED LIMIT AND AT LEAST UP THE LIMIT TO 25 H.P. I HAVE A 16' ALUM BOAT WITH 25HP AND CANT FISH THIS LAKE, I THINK THE LOW SPEED LIMIT WOULD ACCOMPLISH EXACTLY THE SAME RESULTS YOU WANT WHILE NOT HARMING TRUE FISHERMEN LIKE MYSELF AND OTHERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO FISH THIS LAKE.

I fished this lake for 5 years now and up to this year i fished outa a 16' boat with a 70(main motor) and a 9.9(kicker) and lemme tell u, I LOVED FISHING THIS LAKE EVEN IF MY BOAT ONLY WENT 3MPH!! This is a beautiful lake with great fishing, KEEP IT HOW IT IS, who cares about speeds or motor sizes!! A 14' JON BOAT IS CHEEP!! LOOK IN THE PAPER. If ur unhappy cause u cant bring ur boat on this lake, SO WHAT I SAY!! I love this lake, and ill Be ****ED if i have to put up with jet skiiers, and speed boats, THIS LAKE IS MADE FOR FISHING!! AN I SAY KEEP IT THIS WAY FOREVER!! and i know every1 of u fisherman will agree with me.
