All of a sudden my trim gauge isn't working correctly. It never leaves the right hand peg until the motor is almost all the way trimmed down, then when all the way down it has only moved a little. It used to work perfectly. Any ideas? Is there a rheostat or pot that will allow an adjustment? My motor is an F150 Yami four stroke. thanks, CB

I have a 2 stroke Yamaha 150. My trim gauge quit working and there is a plastic cam like part that is visable on the front of the motor by the splash well. When the trim button is moved it triggers a lever to change the gauge. The part cost around $2. Mine was broken but sometimes they just need the adjustment screw adjusted.
Not sure if the 4 strokes are the same but I thought I would give you this information. Good Luck, it may only be a $2 deal. |

I had the same thing happen on my F115. I believe it cost me around $15. It must be a fairly common issue, several others mentioned it to me on WC when I inquired about it. Interestingly, Yamaha changed the design, and the one I got and installed is metal.
