A couple years ago I picked up a 16.5' twin council Lund. Registration indicates it was built in 1984. The interesting thing about it is that it doesn’t have the typical “LUND” emblem but rather “Lund American” in kind of a cursive font towards the back. Since finding it I’ve never seen another. Anyone have any background on these?
It had bad wood rot that I completely replace… along with carpet and seats. The hull is in pretty good shape and after some tinkering the original Johnson 75hp runs like a top. Saw a lot of Lund post here and thought I would ask. Thanks. |

I have a 1984 catalog and at that time there was a "Lund division of Lund American Inc."
The catalog does not show a model call American. There were XRV18, XRV16, XRV16 Sport, XRV15 Sport, XRF4.9 Super Pike, along with several Tyee and some smaller Pike's and Pro Angler. Don't know if that helps. The model may be listed on the tag inside boat. Need anything else let me know... Dave |

I have googled it before… and just now. The one I saw was a completely different style of boat but it apparently was a “Lund American”
It is a little curious the ’84 brochure wouldn’t have it listed… the mystery continues. Thanks for checking guys. |
