questions about Ranger 680C; help!

Hé guys,

I am planning on buying a 1990 fisherman 680C. I have seen an ad of this boat and I think i like it a lot. From the picture it seems to be in mint condition. Only thing is that I have to travel half a day to realy see it. Could you guys give me any thoughts or comments about the following questions:

- Is it possible removing the console for making it a tiller version.
- Is there a seat base that can be used to steer it by hand near the transom?
- How would it perform using a new 50hp engine which I already own?
- What are the drifting performances of this boat? Does it float perpendicular to the wind?
- What are the points that I should be keen on checking before buying?
- How does it compare to Alumacraft lunker 1650 tiller? (Which I own now...)
