Default Lund Pro V 1975

The time has come that I outgrew my lund explorer 1800. I am thinking on pulling the trigger on a lund pro v 1975, but also looking at a skeeter wx 1900. I only concern with the lund is the sliding drawers and the slides going bad over time, and also the sliding compartment covers on gunwales. The skeeter is a nice boat but also lack storage, and also the floors had alot of creeks and noises. Anyone have any input? Thanks

Order the lund without the drawers and gunnal storage if you don't want them, they are optional equipment, the drawers make for nice storage though.

Default Traditional gunnels

When you place the order ask for "traditional gunnels". I don't care for the top cabinets either.

Both are top-notch boats. I own the Skeeter 1850 and my buddy owns the Pro V 1900. He's got the bigger motor (200 Vrod) so his hole shot and top speed are better than mine, but mine was considerably less money. He has told me on more than one occasion that mine takes the waves better than his. As far as storage, I don't know if the 1850 is different than the 1900 Skeeter, but I've yet to fill all of my storage, and compared to the Lund, I'd say that I have more storage. As for the rod locker, I use rod socks and can easily get a dozen rods in there with no problem. I've had mine for over a year now and have fished almost exclusively on big water and would buy the boat again if it were stolen tomorrow. I've fished a ton out of his boat and have nothing bad to say about it - it's a very nice rig.

Which ever boat you choose, you'll have a top-notch boat with no regrets.

I came from a Crestliner Raptor to a Skeeter WX1850. I to thought the storage was lacking in the Skeeter. What I found was I was wrong. There Crestliner had a ton of small compartments where the Skeeter has a couple huge compartments.

There is more storage in the Skeeter than you can imagine. The pics don't do it justice. I had all my storage in the Crestliner full and with all that gear in the Skeeter, I've got a ton more room for more stuff.

You really wouldn't know what to do with yourself if you owned a Ranger if I owned a skeeter i would have a tow a dingy around due to the lack of storage
