Was looking through my tackle box yesterday and decided I didnt have enough ice jigs. So I took some spinner blades and made some. I used a small willowleaf blade for the small jigs and some colorado blades for the big ones. I fed the hook through the hole and put the shank against the concave side, then filled it up with solder. Then I plugged the hole with solder. On the willowleaf ones I just lined up the hook eye with the blade hole and filled it up with solder. I tested the big jigs and they have an awesome swimming and fluttering action. Im unsure what size the blades are so I put a quarter in the picture so you could see how big they are.

Sauger,
Nice job. Those jigs with their action will certainly catch fish. These appear to be essentially identical to the eye dropper jig design that is available from Northland. http://www.northlandtackle.com/Categ...cat=223&pc=231 Take care REW |

What I meant to say is the big ones are painted on both sides, but the smaller ones are only painted on one side. the other side on the small ones were left in the hammered nickel finish.
