This is a great tournament and a fun way to start the tournament season. The SD / MN border rivalry is an added bonus to the competition. This year Artie says he is even guaranteeing the weather! Guaranteeing that there will be weather of some type that is..

So Artie? Who has the most overall wins and who won last year? SD or MN?

SD = 07' and 08'
MN = 2009, 2010, 2011

Minnesota has won the last three years in a row by VERY narrow margins. They have also brought more teams to the battle. "Don't show up to a battle with a small army"!

As far as top 10... I hate to have these guys see me pick them but:

Artie you guys put on a great tournament. Has anyone ever thought of going to a 5 fish limit? Everything that happens with this event is great. I was just wondering if this has ever been brought up. This would give 3 fish to pick from instead of just two. Again it is all around a great and fun tournament so please don't take this as an insult. Thank You

Actually that has never been brought up until now. That is definately something we can talk about for next year. I see pros and cons to it. Pro-like you said, one more fish for upgrade. Con-the guy that only caught 6 fish loses credit for one. I could go either way, but we are always open to suggestions. Thanks!


Another thought, I always liked weighing more fish because it gives you more of a chance to catch that guy that caught a big one. Just a thought.
