Default Mud river kennel covers

I have tried all sorts, but found the mud river kennel covers woth the extra cost. This past Dec we were in SD hunting birds. The day we left it was minus 15. 4 dogs in the back of a truck with a topper and my buddy needed to move his labs to the front. I check my dogs and it was so warm my glasses steamed up when I opened the kennel. The dogs were happy and warm.

Thumbs up Here ya go. This works

If your going to buy a new truck and topper anyway get a slideing rear window in the truck and buy a topper that has a rubber boot instead of a window in the front of the topper that seals aganst the rear window of the truck. now when you open the truck slider the heat and or the air conditioning will go into the topper and warm or cool it. Also if you keep the truck side windows closed and run the heater fan it will presserize the topper and keep any dust out of the topper when driving on gravel roads!!! Also install a Bed Rug bed liner, they insulate the bed and make it much quiter. I have an ARE topper and there are others that offer the same boot. I have hauled dogs all over the US field trailing and hunting and this works. My last 6 trucks have been set up this way. If you want more info pm me and i will send you my phone#. Wiredog

This sounds like the best option and along the lines of what I was thinking.

Thanks to all who replied, I really appreciate the help. And for those who suggested bringing them in the cab...great idea too and I would but I have 3 dogs and the two male labs are big guys at 110 pounds each. No cab is big enough for 5 hours! lol

I agree that dogs are better than many people but your standard is a bit unreasonable.
Gee, how do you like the taste of that kibble? And I suppose you object to duck hunting since they jump naked into ice cold water and you wouldn't? Or you wont bird hunt over dogs because they run in burs, grass and corn barefoot and you wouldn't?

+1 The way i have my truck set up riding in the back is about as nice as in the cab. If you ever have had your dog get hooked up with a SKUNK you will really like being able to close the slider until you can deal with the dog!!! Wiredog
