Humminbird 6.180 update issue

I updated my 958c and now everytime I start it up it's running in simulation mode, if I hit the menu key right away and select normal it's ok but everytime I power it up I have to do that, that can't be normal?

Are you sure you have a good physical connection to your transducer?

Is the 958 part of an ethernet-networked system or a stand-alone unit?
