Default carpet protector

Does any one apply carpet protector to your boats?
If so what do you use and what have been your results.
Thank you.

Whatever you chose, try it in a small area first, get that area wet, and see if it gets slippery. I almost fell out of my boat after washing it in a spray it yourself car wash. I didn't notice the wax that was still in the spray hose. My next outing was in the rain, and that carpet was as slick as a skating rink.
