whats wrong with it?

I just replaced mine, it went bad after 15 years. the bearing sounded like someone was cracking walnuts.

They have changed them somewhat, the replacement one is a little different

Default Panther

Do a search on this site. I've fixed several of them by just taking them apart and cleaning everything up good, especially the brushes and contacts they ride on. There are no bearings inside, only bushings, very similar to car starters. When you re-assemble, silicone everything real good. Too much greasing can over-do it, causing grease to go all over inside of the mechanism. Again, just clean out good.

thats on the motor side.

there are bearings and a worm screw that you cannot access as its all pressed together in the actual actuator.

thats where my problem was, the motor was fine.

there are also relays that can go bad.

without knowing whats wrong its hard to advise

You're right PJ, I had a blind spot in my response. All the ones I've fixed were motor problems. Should have suggested to take the motor off and try it away from lift.
