Default Preferred Braided Line?

Just starting out setting up for some Muskie Fishing and would like to gather some input on which Braid is preferred. One rig will be 7'6" St Croix MH with President XT 6760 Spinning Reel, the other St Croix 8'6" MH with Abu Revo Toro. What would be ideal line? Could same line be used for both?

Your input is appreciated

Yep- 80# Power Pro. If one is for spinners and cranks, go to 65 or 50.

I use 80# Power Pro for everything. I wouldn't go under 65 though.

80# for sure. Nothing less. i don't think you gain anything using 65#. 80 is the same diameter as 16-20 mono. i have seen break offs with 65#.

PowerPro - i use it, not my favorite but i never had any issues with it. Works as advertised and use it on 3 of my setups

Sufix 832 - SUCKS... bleeds all over, digs in very tight and if you do get a backlash, good luck. Get out your utility knife and cut it off.

Sufix perf braid - good stuff, one of my favorites- use it on my small bucktail setup

Vicious - good stuff, doesn't cast as far as some of the others, but its a tough line. Use it on 2 of my setups at 100# for large rubber baits.

Spiderline Stealth - use it on one setup, don't like it as it seems to break easier than the others. found some fraying and just doesn't seem as tough - removed it last year and went back to PP

Cortland Masterbraid - good stuff as well. use it on 3 setups i have for general use. No complaints

these are just my opinions.. others can think completely different. I have tried them all except for Hi Seas Braid which i may try this year if i can find it. Getting good reports but then so did the 832 until i tried it. For me it was the worst line i ever used.

I can't stand the noise of powerpro. I use Diawa samurai 55 and 70lb. If you have a luxury reel like i do (and you do with that revo toro) you'll appreciate the smoothness and quietnesss of the high end line. I've tried everything Samurai is the best.IMO try it you won't regret it

Default Samuri braid

x2 on the Samuri. Did you notice that it is a full 1/3 less diameter than most other braids? Really good stuff!
